Mask Up PR was a small side business launched by Sophie Aurélie at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by both the urgency of the situation and a concern for the environment. Noticing the discomfort of commercial masks and the increasing waste from disposable ones littering the streets, Sophie Aurélie set out to create a more sustainable and comfortable alternative.
After careful development, Mask Up PR introduced a mask designed with three protective layers, including a built-in filter between two fabric layers. The inner layer featured organic jersey fabric, ensuring a super-soft and breathable feel for maximum comfort. The design also addressed common frustrations—staying securely in place while speaking and offering a fog-free experience for glasses wearers.
Loyal customers quickly recognized the superior quality, spreading the word about its exceptional comfort and thoughtful engineering. What started as a problem-solving initiative turned into a small but successful business, receiving glowing reviews and a steadily growing client base.
Though Mask Up PR was a one-year venture—filling the gap while Space Design was unable to operate due to pandemic restrictions—it was a purposeful, innovative, and rewarding project.
